The Endbringer's Thoughts | Breakdown and Everything After |
First off, Breakdown. Obviously not as good as Summerslam, but still had some great matches. Unfortunately a lot of pointless matches like Mero vs. Droz. What the hell is that doing on a PPV? And Edge vs. Owen Hart? Slight lack of angle happening there. The last couple matches were pretty good, and the main event had an interesting twist. Finally the mindless destruction of the Taker Bros can be stopped, as it looks like we're seeing a Taker vs. Rock main event at Survivor Series. I like it.
On the other side of the wrestling world, what in the nmae of all that is holy is Bret Hart doing? I just saw the replay of the Hitman on Off The Record yesterday, and he was talking about getting screwed from Vince. Well, it seems as if not much has changed. He's got the coveted US title, oh yeah, so coveted, and finally he's facing as worthy opponent in Sting. But why oh why is he still with Hogan? Those two mix like oil and vinegar....Bischoff desperately needs that brain transplant.
In theory, DDP slaps Goldberg around at Halloween Havoc. But in the real world, aka Hogan's world, DDP is once again screwed royally by the Hulkster. His time will come.....when Hogan is legally able for a pension....
Ok, enough WCW. Back to Titan-ville, this whole DX thing is confusing to me. DX started out as an outlaw trio who would do anything to get attention and bad-mouth whoever they want. Now the babyface version says the same 3 things over and over and get crapped on by Mark Henry and Jeff Jarrett. This is a good move to break up DX, but why Billy Gunn? Get rid of Roaddog, or keep the Outlaws together. Either way, turn the mheel again. It shouldn't take long, beat up Austin or something. With HHH's injury and HBK's disappearance, it's tough to say what's going on, as next week's RAW won't give us any insight on the situation.....
Well, I've said enough. Till next time,
The Endbringer
